SA TRIP

South Africa Trip

My recent trip to South Africa made me realise how lucky I am to be part of such an amazing community of family, staff, instructors, students and their parents.

My recent trip to South Africa made me realise how lucky I am to be part of such an amazing community of family, staff, instructors, students and their parents.

I have not been back to my country of birth in 7 years now. And although the UK is now my home and has given me the best things in my life including my wife, my kids and an amazing community, I still have a real soft spot for South Africa. In fact I am writing this as I am about to board the plane to head back to the UK, and I feel as though I am leaving a part of me behind. It’s been hard being away from my family and the wider KB community, but it’s been made so much easier by technology. I’ve easily been able to keep in contact with family and instructors, and through our facebook page, also our extended community members (check out my SA trip photos here www.dhehehe).

This has just reminded me how community is not about proximity as it once was, but about mutual interest and mutual intent to support each other. I have been so supported in this trip, I love my community and intend to keep offering more. Our new platform will allow us to offer you all more, no matter where you are.

We intend to widen our community by adding more instructors and students not just within the UK but worldwide wide. We have a few instructors in training and look forward to what they can contribute, not just to their students but to the KB community as a whole.
